Synchron Media

I am a Student at Sunderland College Bede Campus in Level 3 Creative Media and what we do here is produce videos to a certain client and use many resources to aid me into getting these videos released.

What area of Media I am most interested in is the filming and editing side of Media as that is my strong hold when it comes to this type of Media and examples of these will be shown in my portfolio and my home page as well where you can find my previous videos and others to go along with it.

The skills I have developed during this course are things like creative thinking which allows me to make these types of videos and also the editing is also a good skill I have developed because with I now have a good mind in both creativity and ideas when doing editing because i get ideas of what I want to include to make the videos more better.

What I have also developed is a good sense of teamwork as in some of the work done in this course was in group projects and I learned the key parts in working as a team when it came to the more productive side as in the pre productions each of us had a specific role and we worked and helped each other out in many cases.

Another group project was on the Climate Change Video that will be shown in the Portfolio, that video consists of myself reading a script of a song in a voice over while causes of climate change plays in the various clips along the duration of the video, this project was around 1 minute and 8 seconds long which seems normal for a regular advert like video that you see on the Television or on advertisements on social media platforms like YouTube.

My main aspirations of this would be an ambition to become more better at creating and editing videos despite already having a good skill level at it, what I mean by this is that i hope to have a much better knowledge in video creation when I am creating them in my own time, this ambition will be on going until I feel right that I can fully create a decent and well edited video.

For the Projects i have been involved in, it was such things as the Barbering Project as that was made of 4 members of the group as I was one of them and we each a different role to play in this project like how two were arming the cameras, another was lighting and we all had the editing job in the end and we all made our own separate versions of the videos as well as a behind the scenes type of video.
